For the Club

Leader

Leader Guide  | Individual Sections - A reference manual for 4-H Leaders.

Club Analysis Tool - Each 4-H Club is unique. This uniqueness is one of the things that makes 4-H so fantastic. Clubs may choose to focus on different program aspects of 4-H, depending upon the expectations and needs of the families in their club. Clubs are free to choose which 4-H program areas they wish to focus on. Some clubs choose to be very project focused, so they spend a great deal of time improving upon the project skills of their members. Some clubs plan many club activities for their members and families to participate in and others plan fewer events. Other clubs encourage their members to participate in many opportunities outside of their club. Their members attend many district, regional and provincial activities. All of these scenarios are right if they fit the needs and expectations of the members and families in the club.
Using This Tool: • Become a more self-aware club • Help with goal setting and program planning • Ensure that your club has a common understanding of what type of club they are • Give Key Leaders will have a better picture of the club • Inform potential members and families what type of club you are

Club Registration Checklist - Registering your 4-H Club has never been easier! Use this checklist to ensure that you (the General Leader or Club Registrar) have all the information you need before you begin the on-line registration process to register your 4-H Club.

Archery

Archery involves a fascinating group of sports for members of all ages. The fundamentals are simple. The requirements are few. A new archer can be shooting fairly well within a short time, if he or she has the benefit of a planned approach to developing the basics of form.

Archery Leader Guide - The sections in this project cover the basics of archery. They present the beginning archer with a broad, sound foundation for learning the discipline, and enjoying archery for a lifetime. The sequence of the first four sections, however, was carefully and deliberately chosen to maximize learning and minimized the risk of developing form fault. Note the value of repetition in several of the sections. Try to avoid rushing members through development of their basic skills. The repetition is helpful. *This resource is only available by ordering through the online Club Supply ordering system.

Archery Reference Manual and Activity Guide - consists of 8 sections and games about archery. *This resource is only available by ordering through the online Club Supply ordering system.

2. Fitness and Exercise
3. Self Image
The 4-H manual "To Your Good Health" has been written in a format of many different topics. The club and volunteers decide what topics, combination of topics or themes that the club meetings will follow.

Group Option - is for members of all ages who tackle their created project through regular group project meetings, activities and workshops.

Individual Option - is designed for members who are 12 years and older who have been in 4-H for at least two years. This is aself-directed and self-designed project that is determined by the member; however, a project proposal must be presented to the club leaders and member ship for approval.

Creative Options Project Guide - Members will learn CreativeOption project criteria, how to plan and get approval for a Creative Option project, steps to a successful year and why record keeping is an important component to the Creative Option project (one per member and project leader).

Creative Options Record Book  - To be used as a means of charting member’s yearly progress in an effort to increase members’ awareness of their yearly performance and areas for improvement for the next year.
