NEW SUMMER = NEW THEME
So for Summer 2017, all you regional and provincial campers will be embarking on a 4-H style Amazing Race.
This adventurous theme will take you around the world. You'll discover a new country each day, learning about the culture, food and landscapes. All the while you'll be competing in challenges and collecting clues that you hope will allow you to solve the puzzle and reach the finish line first.

Counsellors In Training (CIT): Jul 2-6, 2017

Drop-off times: 11:30am-12:00pm

ALL campers must ensure that their personal health record and medication permission form are up to date.
WHAT TO BRING
- Closed toe shoes (DO NOT FORGET)
- Bedding (sleeping bag, comforter, pillow, etc)
- Towels (shower and beach)
- Shampoo, soap, and toiletries
- Sunscreen and bug spray
- Water bottle
- Long pants
- Sweatshirt or jacket
- Socks and underwear
- Banquet clothes (semi-formal)
- Rain gear
- 4-H appropriate bathing suit
- Sandals/flip flops
- Any required prescription medications
WHAT NOT TO BRING
- Electronic equipment
- Candy or food
- Expensive clothing or accessories
DIRECTIONS TO DEPARTURE ZONE
The 4-H Alberta Centre is located on Range Road 21, off of Highway 13.
Head South on AB-2 for approximately 57KM. Take exit 482B – merge onto AB 13 W toward Ma-Me-O-Beach/Winfield: Continue on AB-13 for approximately 37KM; Your destination will be on the right (Range Road 21)
Head North on AB-2 for approximately 225KM; take exit 482B onto Ab-13 W for approximately 37KM. Your destination will be on the right.
TO CELEBRATE 100 YEARS – BRING A FRIEND(S) TO CAMP
You know how great camp is going to be, so why not let your friends share that same awesome experience. Bring one, two or ten of your besties and have some 4-H fun together! This is first come, first serve and will be limited to overall camp capacity. NO VISITORS ALLOWED
Only applicants who have been selected to compete will be allowed on the camp facility once the program begins - ABSOLUTELY NO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Get ready for one of the most important and valuable experiences of your life – camp counselling. The days or weeks ahead of you at summer camp will be challenging and rewarding, exhausting and exhilarating! CIT prepares you for the task, and helps you to become the best camp counsellor that you can be, for your campers and your fellow counsellors. You’ll learn about your responsibilities and role as a counsellor, and receive training from 4-H Alberta’s experienced Summer Camps & Programs Staff. You’ll leave CIT fully equipped with the kind of teamwork, leadership and communication knowledge and skills that others look up to and employers like to see on resumes and hear about in interviews.
