Get ready for one of the most important and valuable experiences of your life – camp counselling.  The days or weeks ahead of you at summer camp will be challenging and rewarding, exhausting and exhilarating!  CIT prepares you for the task, and helps you to become the best camp counsellor that you can be, for your campers and your fellow counsellors.  You’ll learn about your responsibilities and role as a counsellor, and receive training from 4-H Alberta’s experienced Summer Camps & Programs Staff.  You’ll leave CIT fully equipped with the kind of teamwork, leadership and communication knowledge and skills that others look up to and employers like to see on resumes and hear about in interviews.

Please Note:

  • CIT is open to any senior member, including those who have attended LTCS in the past.

  • Based on their experience at CIT, participants may receive a counselling placement at one of the camps selected during Online Registration.  Counsellors must be 16 as of July 1st, 2016 to counsel at one of our summer camps.
