The sheep industry in Alberta is Strong, Stable and full of Consistency and Quality which is reflected in the 4-H Alberta sheep project! The Sheep Show is a great place to strengthen your passion for the industry, gain new in-sights and share your vision with other youth and adults from across the province. So whether it is your first year in the sheep project or you are a seasoned veteran this show always has something NEW to experience.
This provincial program fosters a learning and networking environment for members that would like to learn more about this ever-expanding livestock project. 4-H members from across Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan learn about the sheep industry through showmanship, marketing, trimming, judging and conformation classes. As well new for this year is an opportunity to learn about wool at Olds College’s Fibre Week.
In addition, there is the added opportunity is to be at the fore front of the industry. As more producers enter the into the Alberta sheep industry, more members are entering into the sheep project. The 4-H Alberta Sheep Show is a great steppingstone to be part of an industry that is thriving in Alberta at the ground floor. Expand your knowledge base and be a part of a growing industry in Alberta.
Sheep show participants are invited to partake in Summer Synergy and compete for Summer Synergy scholarships.
