Program Description:

The sheep industry in Alberta is thriving, and so is 4-H Alberta’s sheep project! So whether you’re new to the project or have a lot of experience under your belt, the Sheep Show will be a great place to deepen your understanding of the industry, learn best practices and connect with youth and adults who share your passion for sheep. Sharpen your husbandry, marketing, trimming, showmanship and judging skills by taking in educational sessions and participating in competitions. Compare and analyze different animals, practice expressing your observations convincingly, manage your time and work together with fellow members. Plus, have a great time and meet some pretty cool people! More and more producers are getting into the sheep industry, and more and more members are getting involved with the sheep project. Join us and put yourself in a great position to become a part of this growing area of production in Alberta.

Don’t have a breeding animal? No problem! Any member registered in the sheep project, with any level of experience, can attend the Sheep Show without an animal.
